Indian Metro Life becoming fater.
Indians whose native occupation was agriculture. From ages our bodies are tuned for hard work at fields and consuming lower fat.
Such life style made us healthy, but urbanization is real threat to Indian lives. Hyper Tension, Diabetics, Heart Failure, Gastric problems, Joint problems and Spinal Problems are direct effects of our jump from hard work to stagnant life.
Due to economic and social reasons we used to consume less fatty foods, oils, canned food, junk food are no way included in our menus. But people now started to opt American way of eating, and increase in income increased Non Vegetarian consumption, chicken occasionally now became a daily menu item. Fast life also increased consumption of oil through ready made food and fries. Indians usually take bit higher amounts of salt but as result of speed in life, all the changed added increase in the salt.
Once our life was like, breakfast by 7 AM, work till 11, lunch at 11, rest for a few hours, work till 4, return home, take bath and dinner by 6 PM. Go to bed by 8 PM, wake up by 4 AM. This type of life style gradually changed to, break fast at 10AM (11 is not uncommon) or skip it, lunch between 1-3 PM, junk food at 6, dinner at 10 or later (once I used to have dinner between 12-2AM). This makes our body to store more amounts of fat, moreover fruit juices will add up to calorie intake.
70% Indians are non urban people, so changes to their life style is minimal, the whole town wakes up at 5 AM, and by the time I go for cycling most shops are open and every body are their way to work. But if I go out at 8AM at Hyderabad, its less denser than the town I live. In my town if you peek out at 9:30PM, you can hardly find houses with lights still on. Its hard to shop after 8:30 PM. But at Hyderabad you can still shop at 10PM.
But people like me who opted extreme life style are rare, when I spent some time at Banglore and Chennai, I used to go for dinner at 11, but I hardly can find food, all hotels are closed by 11 PM, but you can find one or two hotels who serve people like me.
But more than the odd timings, the food you take will effect Indian Health more, fat is the first enemy for us, if you gain weight even a few grams, our health will be worse more than that fat, fat will effect us than that of westerns. But atelast I can opt for half an hour exercise, but most people can’t accommodate exercise in their lives. From ages our bodies are tuned for hard work, if we opt change that will definitely effect us more than we estimate.
In take of more oils, salt and non veg, will become big threats to us. Fruits are healthy not fruit juices, where we consume less fiber, more calories and more sugar, fruit juices do more harm than good for us. If you want to consume fruits, then take a few at 11, again at 3 again after dinner but at least before 2 hours to sleep.
All these sugary and fatty foods will come with another threat, tooth decay, brush twice a day, especially before sleep, remember clean your tongue since its a harbor for bacteria.
At present people like me constitute to a single digits, but later night becoming fashion, as result India will be diabetic capital as well as Heart problems capital too. To add more mass, alcoholism is growing at alarming levels, more you drink the more your life span decays. You can’t find a restaurant at 11 in B’lore but even at 1AM, you can find people with beer in their hands, even girls at bars after 12 is not uncommon, that more dangerous.
All these constitute to increase in road accidents thus claiming more lives.
Rural India posses best life styles and food habits but these days, alcoholism becoming predominant in rural India, 60% men drink in rural India that a real danger, 30% men are alcoholic addicts.
If I go on writing about the same, I will again come to first line, our food habits are coupled with every thing of our lives so, eat healthy and live healthy.

A few tips for those Exercise Mornings.
Indians do prefer early morning exercises especially yoga.
Once people used to wake up at 3 AM and exercise 1 to 1:30 hours. But time changed everything, its rare to see people practice yoga at 3:30 AM.
1. Don’t be in hurry to start exercises after wake up, just relax for 10-15mins.
2. Mix 2-3 tea spoons of Honey with half or full lemon juice in a glass of warm water, take this every day irrespective of your exercise schedule.
3. Warm up the body, if you prefer cycling, start with 3rd gear and cycle for 5-10 mins, let the muscles adjust.
4. Continue cycling or exercise for 30 -45 mins, but its better not to extend more, since its long time back you took the food.
5. If you are cycling after breakfast, its up to you to decide your exercise time, but 45 mins will be better since, more may leave muscle pains.
6. After you finish exercise don’t rush to food or to bath, relax for 10-15 minutes, read news papers, check inbox.
7. After 15 minutes, eat a banana or two, drink water, since this will keep out fatigue.
8. Don’t skip or delay break fast, skipping breakfast will worsen the situation, if you are unable to go for breakfast, take fruit juice atleast.
9. Between 10-11, take a banana or orange, this will keep the metabolism at higher rate and also can balance lost calories.
10. Don’t push lunch to post 1 PM. May be that will cause irritation or headache.
11. Eat some thing by 6PM, since the higher metabolism rate from the morning will burn extra calories and by evening you need to maintain blood sugar, so you have to eat some thing else, that will interfere with digestion and may have adverse effects.
If you suddenly changed your late night life to better disciplined line, you will suffer with fatigue, headaches and some sort of irrigation in the digestive system, but after 4-5 days you will adjust to the new schedule and your body will cooperate with you, be patient, don’t stick to your past life after 2-3 days since, the new life style you adopted is better and healthier.
All the best.
