Movie Piracy at IndianPad
October 28, 2007
After series of Copy and Pastes from IndianPad, I decided to write and that too against IndianPad
Internet Movie piracy assumed to be impossible during dial up days. With the advent of broadband movie piracy is so common that almost all movies are available online for free of cost. In the case of Hollywood the share of Internet in piracy is 38% that is almost $ 2.4 billions.
What is the cost of Movie Piracy in India, Indian People prefer to watch movies in the theaters only and that too with only 2-3% of internet home users Internet Piracy is not a major concern, but with increase in raids, Internet is safe medium to transport piracy movie. Piracy nullifies Theater audience after 3 months, and loss to film industry is 29%.
Of the total Piracy users 63% come from Urban areas and 87% users are from ages 16-39, which shows Internet Movie Piracy will cross estimations. With the increase in Internet users in India, its not only the duty of government and companies to control piracy, its the duty of every internet user and also every website to restrict its users from accessing Pirated materials.
The market of Bollywood is recording exponential growth, Indian movie market is becoming stronger everyday in US, UK, UAE, Pakistan, Canada and many Asian , EU countries. With the internet piracy crossed borders. And its embarrassing that IndianPad is little bothered about piracy. Soon IndianPad will be in Top 10 list of websites visited by Indians, and IndianPad users distributed over continents. Its happy to share success of such social sites especially from India. But its shameful since, it’s concentration is to increase traffic by every possible means.
Even though it claims a strict policy over such issues, which is completely ignored in practice.
Screen Shot:: From IndianPad Search
With the closure of desitorrents, IndianPad seems to be an alternative to find their favorite pirated movie. Which may increase the traffic revenue of both Indianpad and real posters at IndianPad, but that will damage the Social Site status of IndianPad and will soon become another piracy center. Look at the popularity of posts related to Movie Piracy, normal posts will get that much rating very rarely.
IndianPad should stop such tactics to increase revenue, Mr. Gopala Swami, take this issue seriously and impose strict ban over such users.
All the best IndianPad.

I wish you best of luck against your fight for piracy. Let me tell you, by providing a direct link to the downloads you are encouraging users to download stuff. Also remember never to watch anything that is not legally obtained. I hate hypocrites like you, who write such a shitty article while probably watching the latest released movie Tulasi…
A tip for you, its not only IndianPad, check below for more options…
